The APAT-2L from Cannison Industries is a rapid insertion assault transport, designed to transport Marine teams through an active fire environment for mission insertion. While primarily designed for troop transport, the APT-2L is equipped with enough firepower to allow it to operate in a live fire environment. The main weapon is the newly introduced Cannison RFM-8 81mm Mortar Turret. This six tube turret allows for the same full range of munitions that the 16 60mm Mortars use, which are Shrapnel, APF (antipersonnel Flechette), Time Delay Shrapnel, ILUM, Smoke, High Explosive, and Time Delay High Explosive Shells (effective firing range of 70-3,490 meters), but has more reach than the conventional 60mm Mortars (effective firing range of 91–5,935 meters), and over 2 times the yield. The APAT-2L is also equipped with a pair of smoke generators, and a pair of small weapons mounts located by the top access hatches.
