Out of curiousity, is there an R&D department that works on new technology for fleet deployment? If there is, I'd be interested in joining up.

Hello I am Director of Fleet Technology. We do the Research and Development side as well.
Please any new tech or old tech but with new purposes has to be reviewed. If any problems we will discuss with you and hopefully come up with a compromise or simply refine the idea further so it has a more realistic feel to it.
Overall we are pretty accepting of things as long as it is explained and laid out for us.
The Fleet Tech site is linked on the main IFS side menu.
